Post Partum Services
I feel that often there is not as much emphasis put on the post partum period as there is on labor and birth. I offer that post partum support. With over 18 years of post partum experience I offer a range from breastfeeding/lactation support to learning ways to comfort and soothe your newborn.
Other services can include:
- supporting you as you recover from childbirth
- helping you through basic newborn baby care (including feeding),
- cooking and light cleaning,
- caring for your baby while you nap or take a shower and whatever else you may need.

Packages and investment costs:
15 hrs* (to be used within two weeks) $1350
30 hrs* (to be used within one month) $2700
"Getting Settled Pkge" (2 visits) $360
~to be used on the first or second day home and one follow up visit within the first two weeks
Average visits are 2 hrs.
* You can determine how you'd like the hours to be spread out or used.
Cost is different for multiples
Shalawn was a great source of support for my first foray into motherhood! Apart from her visits during which she taught me, helped me bond with my child, made me comfortable and kept me company, she was always available by phone with equally strong support. As one of the few in my family who chose to breastfeed, her support and assistance was especially valuable. She gave my husband and I lots of great tools to use to have an easier time caring for our child.
